What is Spinal Energetics™?

Spinal Energetics™ is a gentle, holistic practice that works with your body’s energy and nervous system to support deep healing and transformation. Using light touch—or sometimes no touch—we tune into the spine and our energy field, bringing awareness to where tension is stored. By engaging the body’s own intelligence, old stress, emotions, and trauma can naturally release, freeing energy for vitality, creativity, and fuller self-expression.

This work activates energy points in and around the body to dissolve blocks and patterns that don’t always shift through thoughts or talk alone. Much of what shapes how we feel and respond lives beneath our conscious awareness. While therapy and mental insight matter deeply, some things can only be healed by being felt. That’s where this practice begins—meeting the body as both scorekeeper and guide, leading us home, layer-by-layer.

As tension and outdated patterns unwind, energy flows more freely—and so does life. People often feel lighter, more connected, and more grounded in themselves. This is not something “done to” you, but a co-creative process that invites balance, flow, and deeper connection with your own essence, across the physical, emotional and spiritual dimensions. When energy flows, we remember who we truly are: whole, free, and full of light. We can start to live more freely, intuitively, with increasing shifts when life starts to change!

Contradictions

This work is not suitable if you are experiencing any of the following:

  • Pregnancy (first or final trimester), or within 6 months postpartum
  • Age over 75
  • Diagnosed severe PTSD
  • Severe mental health conditions (e.g. bipolar disorder, schizophrenia, psychosis)
  • Use of medications that significantly alter brain chemistry (e.g. antidepressants, anti-anxiety medications, antipsychotics)
  • Recent surgeries, fractures, or physical injuries
  • Epilepsy or history of seizures
  • Aneurysms or family history of aneurysms
  • Serious cardiovascular or heart conditions
  • Severe asthma
  • Psychiatric hospitalization, emotional crises, or spiritual emergencies in the last 3 years
  • Any condition that might affect your ability to safely engage in deep emotional or physical release work

Why focus on energy?

Energy is the foundation of both our biology and our spirit. People who don't believe in energy attribute to how they don't see energy, but - similar to emotions, for example - not everything is seen, as many things are felt.
From a scientific perspective, the nervous system and subtle electromagnetic fields influence everything from cellular repair to emotional regulation; when energy is blocked or dysregulated, stress, tension, and even illness can follow.
Energetically and spiritually, many cultures and traditions view energy as life force—whether called qi, prana, or spirit—flowing through us as the essence of vitality and connection. Energy healing practices help restore balance by gently releasing what the body holds onto, allowing both physiology and soul to return to harmony. The changes may be profound—greater clarity, resilience, and emotional freedom—but like strengthening a muscle or cultivating meditation, it takes patience and practice. Over time, energy work helps us to feel more grounded, alive, and aligned, opening space for a deeper, more fulfilling way of living.

What happens during an appointment?

During a Spinal Energetics session, you may experience a range of physical, emotional, and energetic sensations as their body unwinds and reorganizes. Some common experiences include:

  • Spontaneous movement – gentle swaying, stretching, or wave-like motions as the body releases tension.
  • Deep relaxation – a sense of heaviness, lightness, or floating as the nervous system shifts into regulation.
  • Energetic sensations – tingling, warmth, or a feeling of currents moving through the body.
  • Emotional release – waves of emotion, memories surfacing, or a cathartic sense of relief.
  • Expanded awareness – a meditative, dreamlike state or a deeper connection to oneself.

Each person’s response to the treatment is very unique, meeting you exactly where you are. The process is always guided by the body’s wisdom, unfolding at a pace that feels safe and natural. Some people move a little, others move a lot during their first session. Some people take months or years; other’s never ‘move’ at all.

*It is important to note, that the amount of movement does not directly correlate to the amount of depth or benefits a person may receive during an appointment.

How should I prepare for my appointment? What should I expect after?

Before the treatment:

  • Set a positive intention for your inner work. What would you like to welcome or make more space for in your life?
  • Stay well hydrated
  • Avoid heavy meals or caffeine at least 2 hours before
  • Wear comfortable clothing you can move in
  • Setup for online sessions: find a quiet, comfortable space - such as a bed, couch, yoga mat - where you can lie down undisturbed. Keep your camera and speakers on, and ideally position yourself so your full body is visible lengthwise (head at one end of the screen, feet at the other)

After the treatment:

  • Allow 3-4 days for integration. During this time, you might feel more tired, emotional, have vivid dreams, or experience detox-like symptoms
  • Be gentle with yourself: rest, drink plenty of water, eat nourishing food, and let emotions move through without judgment
How much does How many appointments do I need? Is one appointment enough?

We recommend committing to at least 3 appointments, to begin with.

This will give you a chance to adapt to the treatment, and for the treatments to be of the most benefit and value to your well-being.

To allow full integration, especially in the beginning, we suggest waiting at least 2 weeks between sessions. Many clients choose to continue regularly, depending on their personal journey and goals.

Can I cancel or reschedule?
  • Single sessions can be rescheduled or cancelled for a full refund if you give at least 24 hours’ notice
  • Packages are non-refundable, but sessions can be rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice

To reschedule or cancel a session:
Click the Change/Cancel Appointment button in your confirmation email and follow the instructions to reschedule or cancel your session. If you’d like to change the session location or format (e.g. from online to in-person or vice versa), please email me directly at kate@wellrose.co

Is this work for me?

You don’t need experience with energy work, breathwork, or body-based therapy. All that’s required is openness and a willingness to explore. We sometimes call it "non-verbal therapy".

If you feel deeply disconnected from your body, or experience chronic inflammation or pain, it may take more time to drop in. In these cases, we recommend starting with physical practices that help strengthen your mind-body connection - such as:

  • Conscious Connected Breathwork
  • Somatic Experiencing
  • Somatic/Fascia release exercises
  • Exercises in “The Energy Codes” by Dr. Sue Morter
What are your prices?

In-person sessions (USD):

  • Single 1-1 session - $200
  • 3-session package - $530
  • Group sessions - From $75 (depending on format and duration)

Online sessions (USD):
